“In addition to years of success using HYBENX® Solution for aphthous ulcers, we use it extensively in periodontal procedures. After scaling and root planing, I instill the product for 30-45 seconds and remove with rinse/aspiration. When patients return, I find a majority have a significant reduction in pocket depth. The tissue around the tooth looks healthier and in some cases loose teeth have actually tightened up. In pockets of 5-7mm or greater I have seen pocket reductions of 3-4 mm after initial treatment. Repeated treatment gives reductions to pockets of 2-3mm.”
